Our sister school, Alpine Academy, is a private childcare center with children from 1 to 5 years old, and up through 2nd grade in the summer.
Both of our buildings are in Oakland Township betweeen Rochester Hills and Lake Orion.
Since both schools are growing with waiting lists, we need several more teachers.
(1) Lead, 3 & 4 year olds, full-time, 7:
45 am to 3/4/5 pm.
(2) Lead, 3 & 4 year olds, MWF, 7:
45 am to 3/4/5 pm.
(3) Lead, 1 or 2 year olds, full-time, 7:
45 am to 3/4/5 pm.
(4) Break teacher for all ages, part-time or full-time, starts at 9 am.
(5) After-care teacher on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3 to 9 pm.
Some of our positions are school-year only, and some are year-round.
Each lead teacher is in her own room with her own small group of children.
For example, the three's teacher is in a room with 10 children, and the four's teacher is in a room with 12 children.
All teachers create their daily routine, plan their activities, and teach using their own style.
Some of our teachers lean High Scope/play-based, and some lean Montessori.
All options are fine with us.
What's more important to us is that you have a vision for what you like to do.
Although the teachers do not have assistants, we have break teachers who visit each classroom on a steady schedule.
One great thing about Eagle Creek Academy & Alpine Academy is that all children enroll for the entire school year.
This means that you are responsible for the same kids for 9 months straight.
Even in the summer months, registration is fairly regular.
As a result, you get to know your children and their families very well.
Everyone loves this consistency.
We enjoy getting outside, and we use our amazing playgrounds often.
Both schools also have a gym for the winter months and little kitchenettes within each classroom.
We are a fun, hard-working bunch.
Most of our staff has been together for a long time.
We like being together, and sometimes we hang out outside of work.
